Student internships
Your first production, with a team that really produces
2M GROUP has collaboration agreements with many universities and training centres. Thanks to them, their students can do their professional internship with us and have it recognised as part of their studies. It is not a shadowing stay: interns at 2M GROUP work inside the team that prepares and runs our events, from the office to the venue, with a named mentor for the whole period.
What you will learn
Every piece of an event
Depending on your studies and interests, your training plan focuses on one or several of these areas. In all of them you take part in events from start to finish.
Production and planning
Production schedules, budgets, suppliers, permits and safety plans. You will see how an idea becomes an event that meets everything a venue or a council requires.
Technical: sound, lighting and screens
Technical riders, load-in and checks with the sound, lighting and video crews. Ideal if you study sound, lighting, audiovisual media or show production.
Design, social media and communication
Posters and adaptations, social media campaigns, press releases, screen content and live coverage of the events.
Artists and hospitality
Coordination with agencies and managers, set times, dressing rooms, travel and looking after the artists during the event.
Audience, access and safety
Ticketing, access control, audience flows and coordination with security and emergency services: the part that makes the night go well for everyone.
Management and administration
Contracts, settlements, post-event reports and the day-to-day relationship with clients, venues and institutions.

From your application to your first event

Send us your application
Fill in the form on this page with your studies, your university or school and the dates you are available. Tell us which area interests you.

Interview
We talk to you to get to know you, see what you want to learn and fit it into the events calendar.

Agreement and training plan
Together with your centre we sign or activate the educational cooperation agreement and agree the training plan, length and schedule.

Internship on real events
You join the team with a 2M GROUP mentor and take part in preparing and running the events.

Assessment and recognition
When you finish, we issue the assessment report your centre needs to recognise the internship in your record.
Internship FAQ
Do you have an agreement with my university?
We have agreements with many universities and training centres. If yours is not one of them, that is not a problem: we arrange it with your centre's internship office before you start.
Can I get credits for the internship?
Yes. Curricular internships are done under the educational cooperation agreement and recognised according to your centre's study plan. When you finish we give you the assessment report it requires.
Which studies are a good fit?
Communication, journalism, advertising, marketing, audiovisual production, design, tourism, event management, business studies and vocational training in sound, lighting or show production, among others. If yours are not listed, write to us anyway.
Do you also offer non-curricular internships?
Yes, as long as they are covered by an agreement with your centre. The conditions are set in that agreement.
What are the hours and length?
They are agreed in the training plan according to your centre's requirements. Many events happen at weekends or at night; we take that into account so hours and rest comply with internship regulations.
When should I apply?
At any time of the year. If you can, write to us a few weeks in advance: that leaves time for the agreement and to fit you into the events that interest you most.
